Although many nutrition and dietetics programs are very thorough in terms of either basic or clinical nutrition, they often don't specifically address the most current aspects of nutrition, are not holistic AND evidence-based, and most are lacking in 'Carbohydrate Appropriate' diet concepts like ketogenic diets, low-carbohydrate, and high-fat and high-protein nutrition. They also may lack in providing the 'real world' skills to actually be effective in practice.
In addition, you can choose to work as a Health Coach or Sports Nutritionist depending on which track you choose.
